A WINDFALL!
ROMANTIC STORY LOWER HUTT RESIDENT LEFT large Fortune. IDENTIFIED BY PHOTOGRAPH. News has been received that a wellknown resident of Ixrwer Hutt has come into a fortune running into many thousands of pounds. The story of how the fortunate one was traced by T those in posses<ion of the money is unusually interesting. The citizen in question is a native of England. About thirty years ago he emigrated to New Zealand, and in a littlo while settled at Lower Hutt, where he has resided ever since. All these years he has worked hard to earn a living. He is a married man, with a family now grown up. His father died some time ago, and recently other members of the family passed away, leaving him as the one to take possession of the estate. ALL TRACE LOST. His people in England had lost trace of him, and difficulty was experienced in finding him. However, the services of Scotland Yard were employed. It was found that he had come to New Zealand, and the New Zealand police were communicated with, and for some time had been endeavouring to locate him. Eventually he was identified through a photograph which was taken when he was ten years old. £70,000 INVOLVED. The amount of money involved is between £60,000 and £70,000, and it is believed that he is the sole remaining representative of the family. The identification papers are on their way to England, and probably in a few weeks* time the man himself will return to his native land, there to take possession of his fortune.
