LICENSING REPORT
NOT YET AVAILABLE. QUESTION IN THE HOUSE. Had the Prime Minister yet received the report of the committee in connection with the licensing question ? asked Mr W. T. Jennings (Waitomo) in the House of Representatives yesterday afternoon: and, if so, would he lay it on the f able of the House at his earliest convenience? Mr Massey said that he had not received the report referred to: as a matter of fact, lie vrae inclined to think that it was not yet drawn up. The committee would have to be set up afresh for the session and after that it would complete ite. labours. Mr Jennings: Will you then table it? Mr Massey: I think I had better have a look at it first. Mr J. A. Young (Waikato): Should not the report of a Standing Committee be presented to tbe House and not to the Prime Minister?
The Prime Minister: I think it was set up as an ordinary committee, and, in that case, the report will come to the House in due course as a matter of course.
