The slides shown included some ot the Franz Josef aiul Fox glaciers, showing the very rugged euriaoe of the ice and the extremely difficult, country they had to traverse, often having to climb several thousand feet over a bluff to advance about a quarter of a mile up the river, borne beautiful views of the mountains were shown, with interesting and unique scenes of the glaciers on the -west side or Mount Seflun, the Aluoller, etc. Air Malcolm Loss followed, showing views of Alount Cook from the Hermitage side. He described his first traverse of the mountain, and showed pictured of historic spots of camps of the first cluab m ilr Fletcher lectured on the Godley district, where lie has been climbing for the past four years, and showed some beautiful panoramic views of mountain and glacier, with scenes of a trip o'er the Bcalcy Pafw down the Scone stream, Mr H. Milne operated the lantern. At tlie conclusion of the lectures, Lord Jellicoe said a few words expressing appreciation on behalf of the audience for the interesting entertainment given them.
