THE KING’S PINCE-NEZ
ROYALTY'S GOOD SIGHT. The fact that the King wore pincenez at the St. George’s Day service at Windsor 13 a reminder that the princes of our Royal House have been remark-* ably free from shortness of sight so common among their subjects, says the “Daily Chronicle.” Queen Victoria retained her excellent sight till late in life, and King Edward never appeared in glasses in public, nor do any of the young Princes wear pince-nez. This is the more remarkable because a great part of tho Royal duty involves the constant reading of the documents which pour in upon them from Whitehall day and night.
