BOMBARDMENT OF CANTON
BRITISH RESIDENTS ADVISED TO ARM. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received June 29, 12.20 a.m.) NEW YORK, June 28. Dispatches from Shanghai and Hong, kong state that the British ConsulGeneral at Canton instructed the British residents in Shamien, the foreign settlement of Canton, to arm themselves in expectation of the resumption of the bombardment by Sun Yat Sen’s forces.
