A LIVELY CONFERENCE POLITICIANS SAILING UNDER FALSE COLOURS. HAVELOCK WILSON’S POSITION. By Telegraph.—Press - Assn.—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association (Received June 2-8, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, June 27. The Labour Party’s Conference in Glasgow, Mr Jowett presiding, bitterly attacked the vulgar orgies of the rich. The conference witnessed: some noisy scenes with Communist members, who objected, to the new rule compelling the acceptance of tlio party’s constitution before being allowed to attend the conference. The rule was adopted by a 10 to 1 majority. Mr Havelock Wilson’s position as member for South Shields, who declared his intention of contesting the next election as a Coalitionist, was raised. Mr Arthur Henderson declared that, Under the new Tule, the new executive would! have to consider the position of Mr Wilson and other members who were sailing under Labour colours.
