CENTRAL CLUB. A meeting of the above club was held at the Trades Hall, Vivian street, on Tuesday evening, Mr Snow presiding over a good attendance of members. Mr Grant made his reappearance as secretary, after an illness of some weeks, having undergone an operation for appendicitis during his absence. 110 was welcomed back by the members. Mr J. A. Wilson applied for a transfer to. the City Club, but at Monday evening's meeting of the central body tho transfer was not granted. He is to be asked to reconsider his application. Mr Bezar wrote thanking the manager and players of the team for the care shown him during his injury, resulting from the match against the‘Avon Club at Christchurch. Bevan was granted a trnnsfor to the City Club. Six new players avere jna(!<, tno’mber» of tho club.
