NEXT SESSION’S PROGRAMME. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. SYDNEY, June 24. btr Hughes has announced that tho Cabinet has put the- finishing touches to its programme for next session. It is understood that tho Governor-Gen-eral’s speech will deal with supply, superannuation for the Public Service, tho ratification of the provisional tariff agreement botwedn Australia and Now Zealand, the redistribution of seats, amendments to the Defence and Arbitration Acts, uniformity of company legislation,• and: land and income taxation. Unless tire Government should he defeated in the meantime, it is unlikely that the Federal elections will be held Imtil Parliament expires by effluxion of time, iff February. It is randere-tood that Mr Hughes’s “stumping” trip through the various States has convinced. him that nothing is to be gained by an earlier appeal to the people.
