THE CITY’S MILK
PARTIAL GHANGE-OVER. PROMPTLY AND SMOOTHLY EFFECTED. Interviewed by a “Times” reporter last night. Councillor C. J. B. Nor*: wood (chairman of tho City Council milk committee) stated that tho com- 1 mittec’s milk and distributing schema wa« working smoothly and well. The trouble with No. 3 Milk Distributing Company took place on Wednesday last, he said, and on Thursday] morning part of the public on the NoJ 3 Company’s ground was supplied di- ( rcet under the committee’s scheme,) and 8000 to 10,000 consumers were now being directly supplied. "Wo had some fifty complaints the first day,” added Air Norwood, “but lli*t was only to be expected. On Saturday and to-day wc have bad scarcely any complaints at all. With those exceptions, tho change-over was very sweet; and that it should have been so promptly and smoothly effected speaks, I consider, very highly for the business ability of the distribution manager, Mr Cole, and tho general manager, Air Herron.”
