OBITUARY
MAJOR DONALD DONALD. The “N.Z. Times” Masterton correspondent telegraphed on Saturday:— “News was received by cable in Masterton to-day from Sydney stating that Major Donald Donald had died in Sydney this morning. Deceased, who was 68 years of age, was a son of the late Mr W. H. Donald, of Solway. For a number of years lie followed sheepfarming ' pursuits. He relinquished sheep-farming in order to start the well-known firm of Donald and Sons, Ltd., with branches in Masterton and Sydney, and doing business in many part*, of the world. Deceased took a great interest in volunteering and was a memlier of the local cavalry. He also rendered service to the community in the capacity of a borough councillor. The late Major Donald took an interest in all forma of sport and was a good tennis player. Deceased leaves a widow and two sons. Messrs V. E. and H. H. Donald, of Masterton. Mrs Arnot, of Lansdowne, is a sister of the deceased.
