The conference of representatives of the Federal, New South Wales, Victorian, South Australian and Queensland Governments reached- an agreement regarding Australia’s display at the British Empire Exhibition. It was decided to secure an allotment of space to provide for -an Australian exhibition hall not exceeding 150,(X)0 square feet; also to acquire an area of 3) acres round tho building for outside displays and other purposes. The total expenditure, including management, is not to exceed £200,000, which is to be born© by tho Commonwealth and tho various States on a participating basis. The States are to provide and deliver tho exhibits and tho Commonwealtli will be -responsible for all managerial functions.
