DEAR SUGAR
BOLSTERING UP QUEENSLAND INDUSTRY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright SYDNEY, June 2. Mr Pratten, Rpeaking at Gosford, stated that the fruitgrowers and consumers were paying a big price to bolster -up the sugar industry of Queensland. Everyone connected with the industry—growers, millowners and labour —were making fat profits. He urged that ‘a reasonable low price should be fixed so as to absorb the fruit in making jams and canned fruit for internal consumption.
