WANGANUI MURDER
VICTIM’S POCKETS RIFLED. POLICE MAKE EXHAUSTIVE SEARCH. PEB PBESS ASSOCIATION. WANGANUI, June 2. As yet there are no further developments in connection with the murder of the elderly Chinaman, dhow Yet, at Lougaore on Wednesday night. Tho police made a very exhaustive search of the locality to-day without any definite result. The known facts are as stated previously. It is positive that the murderer carried his victim from where he fatally shot him to the spot where the body Was found. There the dead man’s pockets were rifled. Close by were the empty purse and Borne folded pieces of paper.
