COURT REFUSES REDUCTION. FEIt PB.FPS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, May 23. The Arbitration Court refused to grant the application by the Waihi Mining Companies for a greater reduo tion on the rates of remuneration of workers, principally because negotiations for a new industrial agreement were in progress. _ _ It urged, on the parties the advisability of promptly renewing the suspended negotiations, and suggesting a short-dated agreement or for a longer term, subject to periodical revision in accordance with some basis agreed upon.
