The last port of call had been Balboa, and although the trip was n good one there was a certain monotony in being away from land so long, so when the ship came to a stop and the passengers saw the lights of the city, they gave three hearty cheers, which made the people of Devonport living near the -waterfront wonder what had happened at that late hour.
