Opossums may be taken on - sland tile year round; (2) the open season for opossum trapping on the mainland is from July Ist to July 31st; (3) it is necessary to obtain a. license, and this may, be procured from the Internal Affairs Department; (4) Kapiti Island is under the jurisdiction of the Lands Department, from whom permission to take opoeeurus must he obtained. A license is not required, but there are regulations in force which have to be strictly complied with.
