CLOSER SETTLEMENT
INVESTIGATIONS IN KENT. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received April 20, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, April 20. The Hon. Sir James Mitchell (Premier of Western Australia) spent Easter week-end in Kent as the guest of Mr Thomaa Bennett, M.P., and investigated orcharding and other forms of closer settlement. He informed the Australian Press that he was interested in the remarkable results obtained by intensive cultivation, which would possibly be usefully applicable to certain parts of Australia.
