THEFTS AT PAEKAKARIKI

WERAROA ESCAPEES CHARGED. Two lads, James Howard Goffin and Thomas Raymond Spain, came up before the magistrate yesterday for sentence. They escaped from Weraroa Training Farm recently, and both were charged with committing thefts at Paekakariki. Spain, said Sub-Inspector McNamara, was more or lees under the influence of the other, and he asked that the lads should he separated. Goffin was therefore sentenced to two years* reformative treatment, and Spain was sent back to Weraroa to Complete bis sentence.
