EMIGRATION SCHEMES

BRITAIN AND THE DOMINIONS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received April 4, 8.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 4'. The Director of Emigration for the Church Army, in a letter to the Press, discusses Sir Rider Haggard’s contention that sexes should be balanced and provision made for families in all emigration schemes. He points out that these views are idealistically true, hut the Immigration policy was not made in London but in tho Dominions. Nevertheless, if Britain is to be a partner in the immigration schemes she can reasonably claim some voice in their conception and execution.
