SPEECH BY THE PREMIER In response to the invitation of the Italian Government representatives of ths Powers will meet shortly at Cenoa to discuss ways and means for the Economic restoration of Europe. This is universally regarded as tho most important conference called rinse the termination of the Great War, for it is realised that without paace and stability in Europe the rest of the world cannot deal with the great problems confronting it. Mr Lloyd George made an important statement in the House of Commons, outlining Britain’s polisy in regard to the conference, and this was fallowed by a debate in which the Premier was criticised mainly on party lines.
