FIRE AT HASTINGS
VALUABLE MACHINERY BURNT. PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION. HASTINGS, March 27. An outbreak of fire was discovered at 1.30 a.m. in tho factory ci the Hasting Timber and Joinery Co.’s yards. It started in the factory, which, together with valuable machinery and manufactured stock, valued at £3OOO, was completely destroyed. Practically all the stacked timber in the yards, dried timber in the shed, the glass store, ind tbe company’s cooperage was saved by tne fmgade. The origin is a mystery.
The insurances are £175 on the building and £450 on the machinery, in the South British office.
