(By the Government Meteorologist.) Present indications 4 p.m. yesterday are for variable and strong winds, with westerlies, backing to southerlies, in the North Island, and southerlies ruling in the south. Cloudy and: unsettled, weather may be expected, with rain probable generally. Barometer unsteady, but rising everywhere soon.
