■MUSICAL, LITERARY AND DEBATING SOCIETY. Tho annual meeting was held on Wednesday evening, there being a largo attendance of members. 'The Ucv. Josiah Ward occupied the chair. Tho annual report expressed appreciation of the services rendered to tho society by the. president (Mr \V. TL Hindlo) am? tire Rev. J. Ward, ami thunks to the Press for publishing tho reports of the meeting*. It was decoded that for tho coming year the uneotingjs be held fortnightly on Monday and Tuesday alternatively, the first meeting to be held on April 3rd. The lollowing officers wore elected for tho ensuing year:—President Mr W. Tl. Hindlo- vice-presidents, Messrs T. McDowell, N. Seddon, -senr.; secretary, Mr N. R. Seddon; trs surer, Miss A. Ward; committee, Langley, A. Doney and. .Mr T. C. Parsons; editress, Miss D. Smith; accompanist, Mr A. Gittings. After tho transaction of llio business the members wero entertained at supper bv Mr and Mrs W. H. Hindlo.
