“GETTING TOGETHER”
EMPLOYERS AND EMPLOYEES. AUCKLAND, March *2. After giving an account of the recent oonlorence between the. mastor builders and tiie employees’ union concerning tiro present condition of the building trade, with special reference to getting oosta lowered, Mr J.. Findlay, the Bocrctacy of the Industrial Association, wlio said it was a most encouraging gathering, suggested to the mcnrhei'e at a meeting of the association that a conference between the manufacturers and the representatives of the men mployod in tlie nyanufaca taring trades might ho productive of a lot of good. He outlined the sort of tiling he had in his imind, among the matters to be discussed being that of the mutual welfare of the employers -and men. The members approved the suggestion, and authorised Mr Findlay to take the necessary preliminary steps to bring about such a conference.
