POWER FOR AUCKLAND
ELECTRICITY FROM ARAPUNI. , PBS rp,ESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, March 17. At a meeting of the Auckland Electric Power Board, tho Alayor (Mr Guneon) stated that the Minister for Public Works had signed a document under which the board shall undertake to purchase the whole of ite requirements from the department when power from Arapuni is available, and guarantee to pay the department £105,000 per annum, representing the price of 15,000 k.w. The Government undertakes to commence the work forthwith, and deliver power at Penrose on April Ist, 1928. The board deferred consideration till next Monday.
