PRINCE IN INDIA
Opens a military college. Reuter’** Telegram. DELHI, March'l3. The Prince of Wales paid l a short visit to Detiradun, where he opened the Royal Military College for cadets. In his speech he saidl that India’s services in the war had won for the rising generation the right to hold the King’s commission, andl the path to the highest ranks of the Indian army was now open’. He hoped the administrators of the college would keep before them the 'ideals of the English public schools, and would also foster the old and Indian spirit, which bound master and pupil together. He advised the students to maintain untarnished the martial traditions of India’s fighting men.
The Prince then reviewed the forces, and departed-for Gujrawala, for a pigsticking expedition.
