The Waverley is to sail for Patea at 4 p.m. on Friday. The Wakatu is expected here to-mor-row from Lyttelton arid is to sail the same day on the return trip to Lyttelton and Kaikonra. The Kurow is to leave Westport today with coal for Wellington. > The Corinna is to sail to-day for Lyttelton, and is due back on Friday .to toad for New Plymouth via Nelson. Tho Kahika is due here on Thursday from Nelson. The vessel will sail on the sfune day for Dunedin direct, and will coal at southern -ports for Wellington, New Plymouth and Nelsom. The Koikoo-ai arrived at Newcastle at 8 p.m. on Monday from Wellington to load there for Wellington. The Union Steamship Company advise that the Kaituna is to leave Auckland for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin on Friday, and is due here on Sunday. The barque Raupo came down from the slip at 10.40 a.m. yesterday, and the cradlo was taken I>y the Kennedy at 8.5 p.m. ,

The Putiki is to sail for Waikokopu and East Coast bays on Thursday. The Kaituna is to leave Auckland today for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin to complete discharge other cargo from Adelaide, Melbourne ana Sydney. ~Xhe Kini is due at Wellington this morning from Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru and Lyttelton, and will sail In the evening for Napier and Gisborne. W. M. Bannatyne and Co. advise that the Waimea, instead of the Alexander, will arrive at Wellington to-morrow morning from Picton. She is to sail from Wellington at 3 p.m. the same day for Nelson, Westport and Greymouth. The Nikau is due at Wellington on Friday..from Nelson ‘with a load of hpples for transhipment to the Leitrim. The auxiliary schooner Coronation, which is detained at Wellington owing to engine troubles, is expected to leave here to-morrow for Wanganui to load pipes for Whakatnne. Johnston and: Co. advise that the Putiki is to leave Wellington to-morrow for East Coast stations and Waikokopu. Owing to the delays in loading of tho Athenic not being as'long as was at first anticipated, the company now finds it possible to dispatch this steamer at daybreak on March 29th, thus necessitating passengers embarking on the evening of March 28th. The Rama is to sail at 6 o’clock this morning for Lyttelton, Waitangi and Pitt Island. The auxiliary scow .Echo is due at Wellington to-day and is timed to sail to-morrow at 4 p.m. for Blenheim. The Komata is to sail at 1 p.m. to-day for Westport, from where she is duo back here on Sunday.

MOERAKI TO RESUME, The Union Steamship Company's steamer Moeraki, which has been in the process of being reoommissioned, will sail on Thursday at 11 a.m. for, Sydney. TUTAjNEKAI’S ITINERARY.

WANGARATTA TO SAIL. The New Zealand Shipping, Company announce that thfc Wangaratta is to sail this morning for London via Monte Video and Las Palmas. HATIPARA TO" LOAD. The New Zealand Shipping Company advise that the Hatipana is due at Wellington on Thursday morning from Lyttelton to complete Homeward loading. RAUPOIi - CONVERSION. The Scales Company’s familiar barque Raupo, which has been laid up in the stream at Wellington for some weeks, and which was recently purchased by the Canterbury Steam Ship Company, of Christchurch, is to be'converted into a coal “hulk, came off the slip yesterday prior to taking, up her new duties as a hulk. BLACKBALL BOATS. The Ngahere is to sail at noon to-Jay for Greymonth to load for New Plymouth and Wanganui. The Ngakuta is to sail at noon to-day for Westport to load part cargo of coal for Napier. The vessel will then proceed to Greymouth to load the remainder of her cargo. BACK TO JAPAN. - The Japanese training ship for mercantile marine officers, Taisei Maru, which arrived at Auckland on Wednesday week, on a visit, during 'her twenty-fifth ocean training voyage, sailed on Monday afteinoon for Japan direct.
OPOTIKI BAR OPEN," Reports from Opotiki sta# that tho bar is again workable after closing the river to steamers for a period -of three weeks. In the summer momhs and especially towards the end of summer there i- very little water coming down the river from the hack country; and in March in particular’ the flow is insufficient to wash out the channel to a sufficient depth to allow steamers to’ work the bar at the entrance. Sand settles at the mouth of the river and remains there until the flow increases sufficiently to carry it away. The flow has now increased as the result of heavy rains, and the Northern Company’s steamer Aupouri was.able to leave Auckland for Opotiki this week. A MAIDEN TRIP.
NEW STEAMER KYLEBEG. The new steamer Kylebeg, which is to, rtm m tho Wanganui—Dunedin trade for the agency, of Captain G. T. Hull, arrived in Wellington front Nelson yesterday morning. The Kylebeg is making her maiden' voyage, and was built at Dublin last .year by Dublin Shipbuilders Ltd. Her. dimensions -ire :—Gross tonnage, 681: net tonnage 295; lemrth between perpendiculars, 180 ft; breadth, 29ft. She is a single screw steel shin, and is fitted with triple expansion engines, which on her trials gave her a speed of 10.4 knots. Oik the voyage out from Home she averaged 8 knots. A feature of the vessel, which is an-uncommonly fine typo of is the large amount of space nvailal>le“Tor cargo. This has been secured by the placing of the main engines aft. There are two large hatchways for the discharge and loading of cargb, and the aft hatchway is fitted with two winches, thus onabling three gangs of men to be employed in the working of the vessel.
The voyage of the Kylebeg from Glasgow was uneventful, and was made for the most part m fine weather. On two occasions, however, once in the Irish Channel, and the second time soon after passing through the Suez Canal, rough weather was experienced. , On January 31st a cyclone was encountered, but on this occasion, as on the others, the Kylebeg proved herself a fine seaboat. Bunbury (W.A.) was reached on February 9th. and from there t-he vessel proceeded to Newcastle tt> load for Nelson. Shortly after leaving Newcastle the steamer ran into stormy weather, but the trip was otherwise uneventful.
