A very heavy rainfall was registered in Auckland last month {writes the “Times” correspondent). The total for the period was 6.04 inches, as compared with 2.94 inches of the corresponding month last year. Rain fell on 16 days during this October, while in the same month last year, ram fell on 11 days. October, 1918, was marked by a heavy fall, 8.08 inches being registered. During October, 1919, the fall was 3.52 inohes, and in the same month of 1917, 5.20 inches.
