FIRST READINGS. Th© Tauranga Borough Council Electric Loan Bill (Sir W. H. Herries) and tho Inch-Clutha Road, River, and Drainage Amendment Bill (Mr J. Edie, Bruce) were read a first- time and referred to th© Local Bills Committee. LAW OF LIBEL AMENDMENT. The Hon. E. P. Lee (Minister for Justice) moved the second reading of the Law of Libel Amendment Bill-pro forma, and asked that it ’be referred to the Statutes Revision Committee. This 'was agreed to without debate. EDUCATION 1 AMENDMENT. Th© Hen- C. J. Parr (Minister for Education) moved the oommital of the Education Amendment Bill tto the Education Committee, and this was also agreed to. '
