MANAGEMENT OF THE GAMS. The weekly meeting of the Welling ton Cricket Association management committee was held last evening, tha chairman. Mr C. G. Wilson, presiding. There were also present Messrs W. G. Hughes, B. L. Salmon, H. K- Barton. P. Fulton, J. Reid. W. A. Baker, and R. Johnson (honorary secretary). THE BASIN RESERVE. The town clerk notified that the council had drawn up an agreement, which will shortly be ready for signature, in regard to tne use of tbe Basin Reserve. The agreement provided for the payment by the association of JS3BO per annum, the council to take 15 par cent of the ■gate on occasions when a charge for admission is authorised. "We" have got it at lari,” remarked a member, expressing _ satisfaction at tbe completion of negotiations. "I think it will prove satisfactory both to the City Council and the association,” said another. It was decided to thank the council for its consideration of the association's requirement* The Wellington Centre of the N.Z.A.A.C. wrote, asking the association for the use of the Basin Reserve on Saturday, December 3rd, for the purpose of a sports meeting. “The object, it * was stated, was to raise funds to send the 1923 amateur athletic team to the Australian championships. The reouest was granted. The Wellington College Old BopT Cricket Club applied for the transfer of a member named Wilford- from tbe Midland Club. It was understood the Midland Club had no -objection to tbe granting of the transfer. The committee derided to reply that the rules of the association did* not permit of the transfer.
