The “Sunday Express” states that the harrowing story that 30,000 starving refugees are marching on Moscow is a myth. The famine is not more severe than usual. In certain districts undoubtedly there is some privation, but the tragedy is not to such an extent that the authorities are unable to cope with it. •‘HOSTILE TO RUSSIA” PROTEST AGAINST ACTION BY BRITAIN. COPENHAGEN, October 30. The “Politiken’s” correspondent at Riga states that M. Tchitcherin has sent a Note to Britain protesting against English - warships at Vladivostock landing officers and men belonging, to Wrangel’s old army, and stating that he regarded’ the action as hostile to Russia and the Fax-Eastern Republic.
