An eleotric storm, accompanied by terrific wind, caused extensive damage in the city. There were many mishaps pn the Swan river. One yacht with five persons aboard attempted to make shore. The chain ballast shifted and she capsized and sank. Dorothy Barker and Nellie Barker, sisters, and Leslie Maddooks, owner of the: boat, were drowned.
