BOXING

FRANK O,’NEILL v. LES. MURRAY. The local Boxing Association announce the muoh-disoussed meeting between Frank O’Neill and Les. Murray for the lightweight championship, -which ie to be staged at the Town Hall on Thursday, November 10th. In boxing circles the merits of the two men have been discussed for some time, and there is little doubt but what more than usual interest will he displayed in the contest. The challenger has appeared here on two occasions previously, and is a favourite with local audiences because of his 'clean, opeh style; while O’Neill has a' reputation as a hardhitting fighter, although this will he his first appearance here. His somewhat easy defeat of Musson, the Australian, last week, suggests that he is at the top of his form. • The box plan is announced to open on Friday morning, and intending patrons will doubtless take an opportunity of securing their seats early.
