ALLEGED THEFT

Beagley cam© before Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Chief-Detective Kemp applied for a remand .until November 9th. For the accused, Mr T. C. A. Hislop asked that the name of the accused be ordered not to be published, as there were unusual features connected with the case, and he believed he could, at the next hearing of the case, show good grounds for the name of accused not being published. The magistrate: make an order in extreme cases of necessity. . . . If I make an order in this case it means that I will have to treat other cases similarly. . . . No order.
