Storm (6.15 p.m)., for Wanganui. Mr-W. Brigden, master of-the Waverley, is enjoying a holiday at present, his place being taken by Mr A. S. Fisk. Mr G. C. Patience has joined the R.M.S. Mararoa as second mate. The steamer Huia is due here from Wanganui to-day. Her sailing date has not been fixed. , The Kini, which is due here from Port Chalmers to-morrow, is scheduled to sail the same day for New Plymouth. The Union Company advise that the Waipori is due at Wellington from Auckland on Friday. After the discharge the vessel will sail for Lyttelton. The Kurow is expected here to-day, and is to proceed to Newcastle after discharge. The Kokiri is due at Wellington from Greymouth to-day, and ha* timber and coal for Wellington. ■“ The Kowhai is to sail for Greymouth to-day. taking cargo for Greymouth ana Hokitika. The Waverley Is fixed to sail for Patea at noon to-day. The steamer Calm is due at Wellington to-morrow from Wanganui, and will sail the same day with general cargo for Lyttelton. The liner Dorset li'as been delayed by stress of bad weather, and will not sail for Lyttelton till to-morrow. W AIM AN A FOR NEW ZEALAND. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company announce that the Waimana is to leave Southampton on September Ist for New Zealand ports. The vessel will be succeeded by the Tainul, which will sail on September Bth. The vessels should arrive here on October 13th and October 21st, respectively.

The New Zealand Shipping Company advise that the date of departure of their steamer Eimutaka from Wellington has been altered from September 17th to Septenjber 13th, making it four days earlier than was formerly announced. ULTMARTOA FROM SYDNEY. ,The Huddart-Parker steamer Uiimaroa is to sail from -Sydney to-day for Wellington. The vessel should arrive here on Sunday, and "will sail on September Bth. on the return, trip to Sydney. . PALOONA FROM MELBOURNE. Th© %Union Steamship Company advise that the Paloona "will leave Melbourne to-day for Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington. The Paloona is due here- about Seotembei* Bth. and is to sail the followi nc day for Bluff and Melbourne. THE CANADIAN ~SPINNER. The Canadian Spinner is due at Auckland from Montreal, via Australian ports, on September 15th. She is due at Melbourne from Sydney to-day, after which ehe goes direct to Auckland. After discharging the Auckland portion of her cargo she will continue to Wellington and Lyttelton, and will make her departure finally for New York from the latter port. MAHENO AT AUCKLAND. The Maheno arrived at Auckland from Sydney at 11.20 a.m. on Monday. She brought 125 saloon and 86 steerage passengers, and 1228 tons of general merchandise, of which 1198 tons are for Auckland. '“The cargo includes transhipments from the Victoria, Omah, Wyandra, Racconigi, Kanowanna, Yarra, Madras Maru, Norton Abbey, Naldera. The Maheno will leave on the return trip to Sydney at 11 a.m, on Saturday. During the trip over the Tasman the weather was fine, and the vessel arrived at Auckland in good time. She made her departure from Sydney at 3.30 p.m. last Thursday.
