SAVAGE CLUB’S CONCERT
A‘successful effort. \j! enjoyable concert was gir«n be the Savage Club Orchestra, under the direction of Mr Frank Thomas, last evening A varied programme was render- - ed some of the items being quite brilliantly executed, all of them good. Von Suppe's overture, "Morning. Noon and Night." was very well played, es also was the "PraeJudium" of Jamefeidt. In the "Hiawatha Ballet Music.” of Cole-ridge-Tavlor, the strings surpas«d themse T ves and the "Dare's March," from the "Merchant of Venice Suite*’ fßosse) was another exceedingly rood number. Int*r«wtTsg also was March of the Moguls," from the "Crown of India Suite.'* Sir Edward EVtrar’s latest composition. Other numbers were the "FVtuet Ballet. Mu*rc" the Suite" (Rosse\ and a jyrfprtlar selection from "Chu Chin Chow.** A fine interpretation of the famous Dam rose b bnllid, "Dan nr Dsever." was given bv Mr Hawari C. Foster, who also *.nng Willeby's "ATah." Mr G. Austin Bl'rekio rendered Tipton’s “Spirit Flower" and «*.!**> "T know two bright Eves*' (D'HagdelotV thus concluding * highly successful concert.
