Hawke’s Bay had a day out at sport on Saturday, winnityr ho fewer than five games played with outside teams. The Hawke’s Bay representative team beat* Poverty Bay, the Napier High School beat Gisborne High School, the Napier Pirates team beat the KaitiGity team, and the Napier primary sohools team beat the Gisborne primary schools team. At Northern Union, the Hawke’s Bay team beat the Auckland team. Sir James Carrol!, acting on behalf of Mrs M. A. Perry, who was also present, presented the Hawke’s Bay Rugby representatives at McLean Part *on Saturday with representative caps. The speaker complimented the tenon on its successes. Mr N. Nivoll, captain, expressed the team’s gratitude to Mrs Perry, who was accorded three hearty cheers. In aid of the Hibernian Irish Pipe Band a grand benaefit concert is to bo held in the concert chamber of the Town Hall to-night. An attractive programme, nicoly varied, has been arranged.
