REV. HOWARD ELLIOTT.

PRESENTATION AT NAPIER. Per Press Association. • NAPIER, August 29. At a public meeting to-night, the Kev. Howard Elliott was made the recipient of a wallet ot bank notes in appreciation of good * work on behalf of P.P.A. interests in the Dominion. An address accompanying the presentation indicated that it was from professional and business men and men and women in every walk of life, m&mbers and non-members of the P.P.A. Eulogising the work of Mr Elliott, the address claims that he and his association are influencing tho Labour world by exposing the subtle influences at work which are creating industrial unrest. The sane and legitimate policy by means of which to improve and control the best interest of tho workers had been pointed out to .influential and responsible men of the Labour movement, which would undoubtedly have a far-reaching influence. Air Elliott, whose health lately has not been of the best, will, after a visit to Auckland, go to Australia to recuperate
