SCULLING

ARNST IN HARD TRAINING. R. Arnst, the world's champion sculler, is assiduously training on the Wairau river, and he has been rowing daily with ‘'Jumbo" Wells, who is greatly benefiting through the tuition thus afforded him (says the “'Marlborough Express"). A match - between P. Hannan and Wells .is being talked of, and. it is probable that such a contest will take place before the world's championship i s rowed -by Arnet. and Hadfield. It has not yet been decided whether the world’s championship will be rowed on the Wairau river or the Wanganui river.
