the forwards on both sides showing good xorra. The Mana.watu half-back line was a little'weak, and Miss Hancock in goal was responsible for the score/ being at its low figure by her fine defence. Wellington lost the toss and secured the first goal on Miss Williams's stick, while Manawatu equalised as the result of a fine run by Miss Mullins, who went right through the home backs. Wellington had the advantage in the first hail, and the best of the luck in the second. Mias Thomas put the home team in the lead and Mils Richardson equalised for the visitors, both goals being the outcome of good forward play. b rom a penalty Miss Williams scored her second point. Wellington thus winning by thr©2 goals to two.
