NEW STEAMER SERVICE
AUSTRALIA AND PACIFIC ISLANDS. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Julj 29. A proposed new steamer service between Australia and the Paoifio Islands formed the subject for discussion by the council of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce. It was resolved that the committee confer with Auckland firms with a view of drawing up, if possible, some scheme for protecting New Zealand trade interests.
