The Union Company advise that; the Waihora is due At Wellington next Wednesday, coal-laden from Newcastle. The auxiliary schooner Zita will load coko at Miramar to-day for Lyttelton, and is to iget away to-day. Tho coastal steamer Wootton. is due back at Wellington on Sunday from Lyttelton, and will sail on the return trip on Monday. The coastal oteamer Huia, which left Wellington last night cargo-laden for Picton, is due back here to-morrow froxr that port. The Komata. which was discharging Westport coal at Wellington yesterday, is to sail at 5 p.m. on Monday on the return trip to Westport, taking - passengers
The auxiliary schooner Coronation arrived at Wellington last night from Rakopi with ’a load of timber for discharge at Miramar for the Labour Department. The Corinna is due at Wellington on Tuesday from Lyttelton, and is to load h a re for New Plymouth, sailing on Tuesday evening. The Karamu, which arrived at Wellington last evening from southern ports, is to sail this evening with general cargo for Timaru, Bluff, Dunedin, and Oarr. aru. Tho Union Company advise that the Kmi is due at Wellington to-morrow from Greymouth with a cargo of coal and timber. The coastal steamer Kapiti went on the Wellington patent slip yesterday afternoon for cleaning and painting. The vessel is to sail for Patea on Mon-day. The Canterbury Company’s steamer Sltrm arrived at Wellington last night from Dunedin, Timaru, and Lyttelton. The Teasel is to leave here at 3 p.m. to day for Wanganui, takincr cargo. From Wanganui she will proceed southward wicii a load of cattle. W. M. Bannatyne and Co. advise that the Anchor Company’s steamer W&imea is due at Wellington early next week to load for Nelson, Westport, and Greymo uth. The Union Company advise that the Kanna is now expected at Wellington to-morrow from Auckland via Napier. An endeavour will be made to dispatch the vessel to-morrow evening for Lyttelton and Dunedin, taking cargo. The Canadian Government steamer Canadian. Conqueror is reported to have left. New York on the 15th trust, for New Zealand ports. The vessel is due. In New Zealand towards the end of August. THE KIaToRA. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advise that the Kaa Ora is now expected at Wellington on Sunday from Wanganui roadstead. The vessel is to leave here on Tuesday for Sydney, South Africa and London. PORT NAPIER SAILED. The C. and D. Line steamer Port Napier left Wellington at 7.5 o'clock yesterday morning for Hull and London via Panama. SHROPSHIRE?” AT SOUTHAMPTON'. Cable advice has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that theh liner Shropshire arrived at Southampton on the 26th anst. from Wellington. The vessel left here on June 15th. TAHITI LEFT SYDNEY. The Union Company received cable advice that the R.M.B. Tahiti left Sydney at 10 o’clock yesterday morning; for Wellington with 180 passengers for this port. The vessel is due here on Monday manning and is to sail on. Tuesday at 3 p.m. for San Francisco via ports. THE DURHAM. The liner Durham, due at Wellington to-morrow from Montreal has general cargo from the latter port to discharge to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company. The vessel has a large quantity of coal for her own bunkering. UNITED STATES MAIL BOAT. The America, the first of the United States mail liners, was to open this month ihe Bremen, Southampton, Cherbourg, Queenstown, and New York route. The vessel, which is of 22,600 tons, -was formerly the Hamburg-Ameri-can liner Amerika, and was reconditioned at Brooklyn. She has been refitted to carry 450 first and 3000 third-class passengers. Amongst the. special features is an elaborate winter garden, a RitzCarlton dining saloon, with verandah cafes, a dancing hall, and a complete kunema ehow.
