At the meeting of the Vpgeltown and Mornington Municipal Electors’ Association, it was reported .that the Education Board had promised to erect temporary school accommodation as soon as possible. Members of the committee emphasised tlio urgency of settling this much-delayed work, and a motion was carried expressing appreciation to .Mr A. R. Hornblow for his untiring efforts on behalf of the Residents regarding the erection of the school. Various statements have been made lately regarding changes in the railway time-table in order to obtain more economical working by the elimination of unprofitable trains. Such a revision is now being prepared for, but nothing definite has. yet been settled. Before the new time-table is brought into operation it will be reviewed by Cabinet. In 1920 there were' 960 fatal accidents in the mines and quarries of the United Kingdom—an average of nearly three a day all Hie year round. Our blood constitutes 7.7 per cent, ot our weight.
