SERIOUS DAMAGE
FIRE ON THE MAURETANIA. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, July 26. The fire in the Mauretania was extinguished when fifty cabins had been gutted. The saloon library and smoking room are badly damaged. The reconditioning of the steamer will occupy several mouths.
