MRS MORT CLEARS DR. TOZERf CHARACTER. SYDNEY TRAGEDY RECALLED,. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright (Received Jnlv 27, 8.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 26. Mrs Mort, who was implicated in tho shooting of the late Dr Tozer. writing to Mrs Tozer, mother of Dr.. Tozer, from the State Reformatory, in which she is incarcerated, says that since being there she has realised many things. One of them is Die awful wrong she has dene Dr. Tozer. She wants to say that- never once did be take advantage of her- All the things of which he had been accused were absolutely untrue. It was a continual horror to her to know that she left a different impression on tho public mind No one could have been more chivalrous. Mrs Mdrt adds: “I am writing to try to make some atonement for the wrong done the memory of a fine man.”
