LABOUR AND THE QUEENSLAND MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS. Bv Telegraph—P-ps» Assn.—Copyright. BRISBANE, July 27. Tho latest municipal election returns show the following results:—Anti-Lab-our, 657 seats; Labour, 61 seats. The defeat of Labour is all the more marked, because the adult franchise, under which the elections' were held, was specially introduced in Labour interests, and Labour candidates offered the electors various Socialistic panaceas, including free amusements and municipal milk supply.
