IMMIGRANTS TO ARRIVE
PAKEHA DUE SUNDAY. 864 MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company received a wireless message yesterday from the Pakeha, en' route from London, with 864 immigrants, stating that the vessel will ‘arrive in the stream at Wellington at 7 o’clock on Sunday morning. The vessel is expected to berth towards midday. The new arrivals by the Pakeha are both Imperial and New Zealand immigrants, comprising 280 men, - 307 women, and 277 children. All the passengers will disembark at Wellington excepting 281 booked for Auckland, who will proceed northward by the vessel, which leaves Wellington on Monday evening for Hie northern jpo£t. Passengers for Napier and Gisborne will leave Wellington by train at 9.10 a.m. on Monday; those for Wanganui and New Plymouth proceed by the train at 8.20 a.m. on Monday, and 257 proceed southward bv the Maori on Monday at 7.45 p.m. There are also 37 passengers booked for Picton, Nelson, and Westport.
