Present indications (4 p.m. yesterday! are for' strong- easterly to northerly winds northwards of New Plymouth and Napier, and variable and strong winds with south-easterlies ruling elsewhere. Cloudy and unsettled conditions with rain- are probable generally and heavy rain in the northernmost districts. Barometer unsteady with a falling tendency. (Summary on last page.)
