CLEARING SALE AT IHAKARA. SPRING CALVERS MAKE GOOD PRICES.' The New Zealand Loon and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report having conducted a clearing sale on account of Mr O. Koberstein, at the farm, lhakara, on Thursday. ->tst instant, when the result.' proved most satisfactory to the vendor. There was S. large attendance of buyers and the herd, - which was a mixed one. was in splendid condition, and met with a keen demand, while the herd of spring calvers made the good average of 2626 2s 6d pci* head. They quote:—July calvers. Aril 10s to 2631; August calvers, 2620 to 2635; several empty cows in milk, .29 5s to 2611 10*1 2-cow milking plant, £105; horse, dray, and harness. 2660; light gig. 2617. Furniture and sundries fetched good market values. On account of outside vender, fair good dairy cows, spring calvers, .216 to 2619. SALE AT LEVIN. The New Zealand Loan, and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at Levin on Tuesday they offered a small yarding «<1 pigs and average quantities of sheep and cattle to a large attendance off buyers. Pigs sold exceptionally well,-ana all entries were well in advance of owners’ reserves. Fat sheep were sought for in a desultory fashion, whilst stores were practically neglected. For. fat and store cattle there was a small demand, but they -were able to clear nearly a., lines at satisfactory price*. Young dairy cattle met with a ready sale, but older coat; were not sought - after. They quote: —Good weaner pigs, 261 to 2ei ss; stores, 25s to .22 2s; porkers, -22 6s to 3:3 12s; prime wethers 235; breeding ewes in lamb to Iloraney jams, 5s 6d. young dairy heifers, 264 2s to £5; dairy tows, £9 to. 267.

FAT STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., and Wright, Stephenson and Co.. Ltd., report on the Johnsonville fat stock sale Ily 27th:—We offered 60 ew-ee. 450 s. 40 lambs. 30 bullocks, 30 cows lifers, and 30 vealers to a good atce of butchers. Bidding for sheep dined to bo dull, but good prime sold freely.
