THE SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY.
Th© enjoyment by the seafarer the fare provided for him by his hostess (Miss Blanche Godier) at th© Sailors’ Friend Society on Tuesday was great. Th© hostess was ably assisted by the following performers: The Misses Godier, Tolly, Fenley, Aitchison, D. Scott. Irwin, Cox, and Messrs Chartres, Irwin, Wood, and Gould. Refreshments were dnsSeneed by the club. The Glee Club id some fine worik. Mies Godier was at the piano. Mr Moore chatted on ‘'Mistakes Righted,” and agiajn pledgee followed. - The competitions ran emoot-h----13', the prizes coming from Mesdames Hartron and Shipley and Miss Godier* and went to the Amokura and men in port. *
